Forge and shoeing competition photography
Come live a unique experience on the farm of the Chrétien family in Berthierville during the Coupe des Maîtres!
Accompanied by Sylvie Poirier, professional photographer and director of the Photo Laplante photography school, you will be guided and coached throughout the journey.
What is the Masters Cup?
The Coupe des Maîtres is a blacksmithing and shoeing competition with Farriers. The goal is to make horseshoes from a steel bar according to a model and precise measurements in a given time. Another step is also to shoe horses with handcrafted horseshoes respecting certain parameters requested by the judge and will be judged on several points throughout the process. Two judges are appointed and have participated in numerous competitions around the world. The first, for advanced, is a well-known marshal from Scotland and the second, for novices and intermediates, comes from Quebec.
