Are you thinking of becoming someone creative? Too late... you already are!
Definition: What is contemplative photography exactly? It is a "soft" and non-technical approach to photography based on our ability to see things not for what they are but for what they might be. An approach where rigid rules and technical frills have no place. The photographer does not compete with himself or with others. There is no search for performance or even the desire to make a "good photo". We observe and appreciate the world for ourselves, in full awareness of seeing clearly, to have fun, to relax and enjoy "creativity" without constraint or violence. An approach that changes our view of the world and changes our lives.
Objectives: To find the pleasure of taking pictures everywhere and to develop a fresh vision of our world without waiting to be in an "extraordinary" place.
Descriptor: Rather than dealing with the technical side of photography, the contemplative approach emphasizes your ability to see subjects differently and the importance of cleaning up your compositions by keeping only the bulk of the visual message. Take a break of technique and open yourself to the world! In this theoretical and practical workshop, we also work on the insecurities and doubts that we can feel in the creation. We learn not to label subjects as "good or bad". We are not looking for "the" vision but rather "our" vision. In the workshop, several practical exercises bring experiences in order to apply this idea. From the table of three levels of creativity, and by doing the visual training exercises proposed, you will learn to see beauty in the simplest subjects and you will certainly change your vision of the world. The subjects are there, you just have to see them with a good eye!
Pedagogy: Theoretical presentation, viewing of images, individual outings, taking pictures of different themes and critical group views. Abundant documentation is distributed to the participants.
Pre-requisite: Having knowledge of the basics of photography (ISO, aperture, shutter speed, depth of field). Having knowledge of the different modes of your camera.
