Conference: "Photographing nature in Cuba" by Daniel Fortin
Duration : 2h
In French only
The island of Cuba is 1200 km long and home to a particularly rich wildlife and flora that is interesting for lovers of nature. It's a prized destination for Quebecois eager to escape the rigors of our winter climate.
No matter what type of accommodation you prefer, even beyond the beaches, nature lovers will find in the various anthropic or natural environments the opportunity to get acquainted with the great biodiversity of this country. One of the peculiarities of this territory is that it hosts a very high rate of endemism (the fact that a plant, a bird, a mammal, an insect, etc. is only present in a given territory).
Our speaker, a specialist in birds and tropical flora, will discuss the tools necessary to know and recognize the different species of this island, which is both enchanting and very safe. He will present photographs of these many excursions and share his experiences. He'll also talk about the photographic equipment he uses on these trips and answer questions from participants. A bibliography given to the participants will be commented on so you can prepare your future trip.
Once registered, this conference cannot be refunded. Photo Laplante reserves the right to cancel or hand over a course, workshop or outings without notice, in which case registered persons will be notified and reimbursed.
