What is an equestrian competition?
The Equestrian All-Around Competition (or EAC) is an equestrian sport that brings together in one discipline three distinct events: a show jumping event, a dressage event and a specific event: cross country. Originally created to test the capabilities of horses for the armed forces, this event has evolved little by little to become an equestrian discipline in its own right. Often referred to as an equestrian triathlon, the CCE requires, unlike other disciplines, versatility on the part of the horse as its riders.
